Electrical design
We prepare the electrical design, the foundation of every automation system, so the teams building the panel and maintaining the site can read it with ease.
What we offer
MCC and power circuits
Motor control centres, drive-fed motor circuits and protection devices.
DDC and I/O control
PLC inputs and outputs, 24 VDC control distribution and signal circuits.
Main and field distribution
Power distribution between main switchboards and field sub-panels.
Lighting
Lighting circuits and distribution within the facility.
What the drawings cover
- Power circuits and motor connections
- Drive connections: speed reference, current feedback, run and fault signals
- 24 VDC control distribution and fuse groups
- PLC digital and analogue I/O schematics
- Cable colour legends, group tags and cross references
Example
In an ammonia refrigeration system, a compressor circuit with an ABB ACS880 drive includes the motor connection, the oil heater, the wiring of the drive’s analogue and relay outputs to the PLC and the 24 VDC control distribution, all in one drawing set linked by cross references. See the compressor drive and MCC panels project for details.
Because the same team prepares the electrical design and the PLC software, I/O addresses and labels stay consistent at every stage.
Frequently asked questions
What do your electrical drawings include?
Power and control schematics, PLC I/O schematics, cable colour legends, group tags and cross references between sheets, prepared as a reference for panel building, field wiring and later maintenance.
Can I order only the electrical design?
Yes. Our services can be ordered separately or as a single end-to-end package.
